Jeda

Jeda was closer to her home now. She flashed a smile to the boy named Sawyer. Her eyes hunted out the shadows and any other hiding places around them. For some reason she felt like she was being watched. Her walking slowed down till she was even with him. "Hey Sawyer? Do you feel like we're being watched?" She saw a flicker of movement off to their far left (opposite side of the road). Her hand grabbed Sawyers and she whispered to him. "Run! Once we get home...we'll be safe!"



Thomas

The 14 year old boy spotted his prey on the other side of the road and smirked. So she was with another boy. His slate grey bomber jacket flashed a little as he moved from his hiding place behind a dumpster. Jeda seemed to notice it, he grinned as he saw shards of beer bottle glass all around him. He rose both his hands and the glass fragments rose together, but melted and moulded together. They formed arrows and all sorts of medievial weapons. His hands pushed forwards, but he didn't know that his prey had started running until they were half a block away. 'Dammnit! Dammnit, dammnit, dammnit! she got away again! Drat and bother. Alright! Time for a new plan!'

Jeda

Jeda breathed a sigh of relief when they came to the apartment complex. She opened the door with a card and waited for Sawyer, holding the door open. Jed almost ran up the four flights of stairs and used a key to unlock number eight's door. The smell of pasta and carbonara sauce wafted to Jeda's nostrils. "Benson I'm home! Oh, I also brought a friend." Jeda called and she held open the door for Sawyer again. She slipped her sneakers off and walked aaround in white socks. She stepped onto the soft carpet and headed to the kitchen. Slate grey lino covered the floor and her green eyes spotted Benson cooking. "Hey Benson. A friend is here for dinner. His names Sawyer." She leant against the door way, her shoulder having repaired itself.


Olivia Benson (Benson)

The short haired brunette smiled as she heard the door open. Jeda was back, bringing a friend too. She drained the pasta and placed the strainer into the pot with the pasta still in it. Drying her hands on a tea towel she then placed the damp tea towel on the kitchen counter. Untying her cooking appron Olivia stepped out of the kitchen and hung the appron on a hook with her name on it. Benson tipped her head on the side and smiled at the boy and Jeda. "I hope you like pasta Sawyer. You guys are just in time for dinner." shewent back into the kitchen and served up steaming plates of pasta. She grabbed two plates and put them on the dining table. She took the third out and placed it at the table too. Benson whistled through her fingers and the cutlery draw flew open, knives and forks 'marched' to the table and laid themselves down beside each plate. benson called for a spoon and stared at it. The metal spoon warped and melted into a round ball then back to a spoon. "Yes Sawyer I have powers over all metals. Dinner's up!" She clapped her hands and smiled warmly.

Jeda

Jed grinned and propelled Sawyer toward the food. "Please Sawyer, you are a guest and a friend of the family. Don't start using too many manners please." She sat him down in a chair and sat down beside him. She grasped the water pitcher in her hand. "Would you like some water?" The girl was smiling more easily now, she was in excellent and safe company. Her green eyes stared at Sawyer with a tiny flash of amusement.



Olivia Benson (Benson)

The woman smiled gently and stretched her back. "Now, dig in both of you. I need to put the groceries away. I won't be a moment." Benson indicated gently for them to start eating. The fridge door rattled as she placed food items in there. Olivia chuckled very softly as she came across a Nutella tub, Jeda loved the stuff. Her hand grasped the tub and she put it in the pantry. She shut the pantry door and walked out of the kitchen again. She took her place at the table and started eating. Benson raised an eyebrow descretely at Jeda, Jeda rose the opposite one in return. Her warm brown eyed regarded Sawyer gently. Once she finnished her mouthful of pasta she asked Sawyer a question. "Are you staying the night or cleaning yourself up then going home?...Where ever home is." Her face looked a curious blend of being puzzled and ready to accept and understand.

Jeda

Jeda poured him some cold water from the pitcher, laughed and finished her dinner. She went to the linen press and got out some fresh sheets. "Hey Sawyer...do you want my bed or the spare one?" She didn't really care, either way they'd both be in her room tonight. Her hands made quick work of making up the spare bed, her black tipped hair hanging around her face. The sheets were a sea green. A black pair of gloves hung on a hook near the bedroom door. Jeda soon rejoined them and curled up on the couch, watching the news.


Olivia Benson (Benson)

She grinned widely and finished her pasta as well. She gathered up the dirty plates and dishes, putting them in the dish washer. Her brown eyes surveyed her home and she sighed mentally, this was pure heaven. She sat in an armchair to watch the TV too. Her long legs crossed themselves over. "You are always welcome to stay here Sawyer."

Olivia Benson (Benson)

She looked at the clock, 8:30 pm. Benson yawned and smiled. "I've got to get to bed early, my shift starts at 4 am tomorrow. I'll make my own breakfast and you two can make your own okay? Well...good night!" The short haired brunette went off to her bed room and quickly fell asleep.

Jeda

Jed said goodnight to Benson and lay her head on Sawyer's shoulder. "You like TV, huh? I'm going to go have a shower. You can go into my room and mess around with the spare bed but nothing else. What ever you do, do NOT touch the gloves in my room, they have special purposes for my power." She got up and got her bed clothes, taking them into the shower. She was undressed and about to turn on the water when a large rat ran into the shower recess around her feet. Jed let out a thundering yell and hurriedly wrapped a towel around herself before jumping onto the toilet seat. "SAWYER! SAWYER CAN YOU KILL IT?" Her yell was even louder as the rat walked around in the shower bottom and stared at her in amusement. "SAWYER! PLEASE COME AND DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS LARGE RAT?" The rat was trapped in the shower by the glass door.

Jeda heard pawing at the door and she jumped onto the sink, letting him in. She was imediately on the toilet seat again. Her long legs folded underneath her and she stared straight at Sawyer, as pale as paper. Shivering, she hugged the towel closer to her body, not betraying her shapely body to him. Hooking a corner of the towel into the side of her chest she placed her hands on her thighs and tipped her head to the side. The rat squeaked and Jeda stiffled the notion to shriek her lungs out. The large rat tried to climb out of the shower, this failed and it ran out between Sawyer's paws, jumping and scrambling into the bath tub. She turned paler and her skin prickled with goosebumps.

Jeda felt dark red blood splatter over her face, but she was frozen to the spot. Her body finally couldn't take it and she blacked out. Her left hand had burned her towel, making a faint fist shaped mark on her thigh. Her body slipped off the toilet seat and sprawled on the ground, the fingers of her right hand limp in the black faint. Her eyes were closed, Jeda sent out her mind and called mentally for help. Her body was in shock after seeing the rat die. The towel came loose and fell away. Scars from battles and Thomas were revealed.

Olivia Benson (Benson)

She awoke slowly and stepped groggily to the door. "It's only a rat Jeda. Go get Sawyer to squish it and don't faint. If you do I'll make clothes for you out of metal. Now you can pick her up and carry her to her bed Sawyer." She waved her hands and then shut the door. She climbed back into bed and fell asleep again.

Jeda

The metal in the bathroom melted and plastered itself to Jeda's body, clothing it. The only exposed skin was her face, neck, arms, calves and her feet. Jeda was still knocked out cold, her head resting in a wavy cloud of red-gold and black hair. The mark on her throat seemed to hurt her a little as her face creased lightly in pain.

Flashback.
She was being attacked by Thomas again. Her throat felt tight and closed off as he pressed the sharp knife to her throat and began to draw it across. She enveloped her body in non-burning fire and scorched him. Her will power kept her body from burning to a crisp. She ran for her life through his house, his mother wasn't home. Jeda heard Thomas moving to grab something. He threw a metal skewer and it lodged in her left shoulder, the point piercing through the skin on the other side. The ring at the end wouldn't go through. Jeda ripped the skewer through her shoulder and closed her eyes at the sight of the gaping hole in her shoulder. She burst out of the front door of the house, right into the waiting arms of Benson.
End flashback.

Jeda groaned and gingerly touched her left shoulder tenderly, it still hurt sometimes. The mark was still here, wider at the front and narrower at the back. She dressed in her night shirt and bike shorts, passing Sawyer she smiled and groaned. "Sorry about that sawyer. You can have the shower now. I'll have mine in the morning." She involuntarily grasped ther left shoulder and looked through the cover of cloth, the scars were hurting a bit. Her hand squeezed tighter as she walked past him and into her room.

She shut the door and snatched the gloves off the hook. She grasped her left shoulder with a gloved hand and burned the scars, sealing them shut. The skewer had been cursed before it had struck her. The scars would rip open every once and a while because of the curse. but the wound wouldn't bleed, instead she'd be left powerless for a month.
